Is there a bar minimum at Ivy House?

Yes, during prime (May - October) and transitional (April, November, December) seasons, Ivy House requires a bar minimum based on a guest count of 125 people. This means your event’s bar spend must meet or exceed the minimum that would be required for 125 guests, even if your actual guest count is lower.

You are still welcome to host your event with fewer than 125 guests; however, the bar minimum will be calculated as if 125 guests are attending. This ensures our bar team can staff and stock accordingly for the season’s high-demand standards.

Are there other payments that I should be aware of?

Ivy House requires the remaining 50% of the booking fee 6 months before your event date. Payment for Bar & Rentals is handled 3 to 4 weeks before your wedding date.

Can I bring in my own dessert or late night snack?

Any food items are required to come from a licensed and insured vendor!

Do you allow guests to leave cars overnight?

Yes!

Do you have any fees I should know about?

There is a 6% Michigan Sales Tax on the bar per the state of Michigan. Ivy House also has a 20% Decor Rental Service Fee to cover the cost of the setup, tear down,and clean up of decor rentals. There is also a 20% service fee that is applied to the cost of the bar package. This 20% service fee is general and covers the cost of providing high levels of service and ensuring amazing guest and client experiences! This 20% is a hospitality standard that you will see other vendors using as well!

Do you have any required vendors?

Yes! Ivy House requires use of one of our preferred catering partners!

Do you hold dates?

Due to demand, we do not hold dates! Our booking period is 48 hours in which the payment and Rental Agreement are required.

Does Ivy House have other events on the day of my event?

No! Ivy House does exclusive wedding day rentals to ensure that your special day is private!

How do I book Ivy House?

A booking fee of 50% of the overall package amount and a signed Rental Agreement.

How many couples book a VIP or VIP+ Package?

At this time over 85% if our couples at Ivy House choose one of those packages. The packages come with a Day of Coordinator, which ensures a successful wedding day!

How many guests fit at Ivy House?

300 guests.

How many parking spaces do you have?

125 parking spots!

What does the booking fee include?

The booking fee includes the property, set up and tear down of spaces, wooden cross-back chairs, round tables, rectangular tables, fixtures, bar area, and outdoor furniture. Along with on-site team members on the day of the event (varies by package type).

What is the ceremony on site fee?

It is $2,000* for use of the Greenhouse for ceremonies and the two getting ready suites (Hawthorn Suite & Juniper Suite) *price is subject to change.

What time do the spaces open?

The Greenhouse and getting ready suites (Hawthorn Suite & Juniper Suite) open at 9am. The Ivy House (reception space) opens at noon!

When do we need to have our Final Guest count to Ivy House?

The final guest count for your event is needed 3 to 4 weeks before the date of the wedding.

When does Ivy House close?

We close 1 hour after your bar package ends!
