There are wedding days that feel beautiful, and then there are wedding days that feel deeply personal from beginning to end. Ellie and Deiontae’s celebration at Ivy House was exactly that — intentional, joyful, and filled with meaningful moments shared alongside nearly 300 of their closest family members and friends.
The Morning
From the moment the morning began, the grounds were buzzing with excitement. Ellie spent the early hours surrounded by her bridesmaids, family, and glam team in the Hawthorn Suite while final touches came together across the property. Outside, the ceremony greenhouse was transformed with soft florals, bows lining every chair, and elegant decor curated with Charm Decor House. Butter yellow and sage green details paired perfectly with gold accents, candlelight, and lush floral textures throughout the reception space.

The Design
The overall design of the day featured a soft and romantic palette of butter yellow, sage green, ivory, and gold. Working alongside Charm Decor House, the couple created a reception space that felt elevated while still welcoming and intimate.
Inside the reception, guest tables were layered with thoughtful textures and candlelight. Round tables featured gold beaded chargers, green goblets, gold flatware, knot-tied napkins, and a mix of tall and low floral arrangements filled with white roses and soft blooms. Long farmhouse tables carried the same romantic aesthetic with clusters of gold candlesticks, ribbed votives, and delicate bud vases lining the center of each table. The glow from the candles paired beautifully with the natural atmosphere of the venue and created an incredibly warm ambiance as the evening progressed.

The Ceremony
As guests arrived, live strings welcomed everyone into the greenhouse ceremony where Deiontae and Ellie exchanged vows in front of a romantic floral arch. One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the couple’s unity candle presentation, creating a heartfelt pause during an already emotional celebration.

Cocktail Hour
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails outdoors complete with yard games, passed appetizers, a mariachi band, and signature drinks while the wedding party explored the grounds for portraits.

The Reception
The evening transitioned into an unforgettable reception filled with candlelit tables, green goblets, layered textures, and a long farmhouse-style head table that made the room feel warm and inviting. A celebration with heartfelt speeches, a packed dance floor, glow stick accessories, a champagne tower moment, and late-night pizza shared with guests before the final song of the evening.

The Review
A once in a lifetime experience and Ivy House exceeded all of our expectations!!! If you’re choosing between venues, I will tell you Ivy house is the way to go. The venue is absolutely stunning. I don’t think this day would have been as beautiful if it wasn’t for all the help from every staff member. From catering to our bartenders, Everyone was so kind, dealt with issues so effortlessly, and made me feel so special. A special shoutout to my coordinator Tiffany!!!! We started planning with her 6 months prior, and from day one I just felt how truly excited she was for the wedding. She took on a 300 person wedding and embraced our families culture with grace and made every moment of my day easy. As a bride, we receive the typical compliment, “you look so beautiful”. And not to my surprise, our guests of the wedding were not shy expressing how they felt about the staff. The two I heard most was “Great pick on your bartender!” and “Tiffany is AMAZING!”. So thank you Ivy House & big thanks to you Tiffany 🤍-Deiontae and Ellie Nicholas
Every detail of Ellie and Deiontae’s day reflected who they are as a couple — elegant, family-centered, and full of life. Their wedding at Ivy House was a perfect blend of timeless romance and joyful celebration, and it was an honor to watch it all come together.
